Queensland??

Hey all,

Well i got the ipod now all up and running and i'm off to Queensland for the long weekend, my question is,,

Since i'm going with a-few of my mates, can anyone recommend places to go e.g bars and clubs or cafe's around the Gold Coast where tourists normally hang out?? Or to cut it down and put it frank where most of the females go to have a good time??

Naaaah forget the Gold Coast. I just got home from one of my favourite watering holes here in the Alice. We were sitting out in the beer garden when a bus load of "ladies" hopped off the bus and went in and checked into the back paker hostel. The bar is part of the hostel. Anyway after about a half hour these "ladies" starting trickling into the beer garden. We got talking to a few of them, they are VERY freindly, and it turns out that they have just got off the plane from England. They are on a 18 to 25 girls only tour of the outback. They made it very clear that they were keen on getting horizontal with as many "blokes" as they could find. They nick named their tour the "bonk a bloke tour". I left before I got into trouble, but I reckon that a couple of my single mates that I left there are in for one hell of a night. Probably one or two of the married ones as well. Oh to be single again. Oh well.

melba's is a good place to go fave some fun!!! general admin downs stairs & club upstairs which is a $10 cover charge but you get a free drink with that.

Surfers can annoy me - too much crap going on in the streets. Every time I go there I see someone on the ground being restrained by cops, a heap of bloody faces in that chillout thing and a lot of spaced-out teens hanging around the streets.

Last time I was up there (two weeks ago) there was an amusing incident. I was walking from whee I parked the car and two girls were backing out from a driveway. They looked like they were in a rush or something. I was about to ask if they needed a hand and I noticed they were both starkers. A big wohooo from me and a wave and hello from them and a smile was put on my face.

You have to check out "Hollywood" - it is VERY well worth the entry fee, believe me! I went down to surfers for a bucks weekend last weekend, thought Shooters was ok (note Shooters, NOT Hooters!) there were stunning girls everywhere, but true to form, I totally crashed and burned with any that I tried to talk to!
