Default computer idiot

hi,

this is a stupid question but i was writting an essay and everytime i press space it deletes the letter infront of it. I know theres a button to press to change it back but i cant remember it?

Can anyone help?????

Press "Insert"

The Overwrite function is on.

ah ha

This happens to me every now and then too, when editing posts or emails etc, you go back to correct spelling or add some words and it overwrites the text you've just done, drove me mad!

You learn new things every day!

i used to allways do it. so amazed when i learnt it wasn't just the computer bein a piece of crap :P
