the lastst motor magazine has a shootout between ford and holdens sport sedans.
Motor finaly got goot times from the ford bent eights with the xr8 getting a 13.99 and the GT getting a 13.88 from the quater mile, the GT was still no match for the clubsport getting a 13.61, get the XR8 gave the SS a bit of a caining as the SS only got a 14.21. The GT though got the biggest power output on the dyno by a long run with 242rwkw, which motor found hard to believe (surprise surprise). while the clubsport only mananged 227.8rwkw. the xr6 tubo got a caining only getting a 14.81, againced SV8s 14.12, motor said the xr6T had a huge top end loss in power overall only one ford got a win and that was in the six segment with the Xr6 non-turbo. all out it seems only the track figures got the votes while the real world road manors (which 99% of people care about) diddnt mean much by motor Last edited by XplosiveR6; 11-04-2005 at 01:29 PM. |
