There was a few of a Typhoon in the FPV section a while ago ... taken from inside the cabin (let's just say 150km/h came up really quick) ... *cough* was taken on a private road *cough*

They're f***king cool. We've got 4 muscle cars here, and one of them in Australian. Mustang, Corvette, Viper, GTO (Monero).

I want to see something different. If I were to ever import a new FPV GT to the US, it'd be the other one of it's kind. Truely amazing... I love the interiors... superior quality to what we have... the engines are superior... no way would they ever put a N/A 5.4L into anything here (it honestly wouldn't sell because of the gas crisis), and the styling is something in between the Corvette and the Viper. 4 doors? F***king versitile and fast at the same time.

I love the Aussie cars... even the utes (a totally new concept to Americans... we have pickup trucks, and the Lightning), but I gotta admit I like the Commodore ute better. ;)

That's Monaro, pronounced Mo-nah-ro. Mo like mohawk, nah like narcissistic, Ro as in your boat. You've surely got more Muscle cars too. Charger for one?

Charger has a 5.7 and a 6.1 coming up, and four doors :P (I'm playing the devil's advocate here)
I don't quite agree with you on the styling thing though, these things are big and beefy, the corvette and viper are sleeker, more nimble looking cars. Svelte.

I talk to alot of Americans, lots of friends from the US etc. Its funny, how people there want our cars and we want theirs. I don't know if I'd call our engines superior to US stuff... the '03 Cobra's Supercharged 4.6 absolutley slaughters every engine we've ever made... now if that was in an FPV GT :

Anyways, nice to see more people from the states interested in Aussie cars.

Yeah the new Cobras are pretty freaking sweet. Pulley, exhaust, intake and those things are at 480HP / 357kW. Almost scary how easy they can be made with the stock bottom end and stock supercharger.

I've got a new FPV GT-P set as my background at work and everyone walks by and says.. "What's a GT-P?" I actually like explaining how the car is Australian and how "they've all the coolest cars over there."

When I visit down under one of these days, I wonder if I can rent an FPV.

This is the same kind of thing that i've been hearing about. Aussie cars are underpowered compared to a lot of American cars, but the build quality over there is terrible.

Funny, but by the end of my FPV day the motorkana had deteriorated like this too.... :voldar02:

And "gas crisis"??? Last year when I visited Florida for work, my highlight was Grandma and Grandad passing me in a 7 odd Litre Cummings diesel mini truck. I did get to see a guy get angry and light up a Viper down the road though, THAT was impressive......

You ARE spot on about the interiors. You guys use recycled GI Joe dolls or something?? What is the story there??
