thats' cool...

I used to have a drum simulation software that came with an old vreative live sound card, mate of mine learnt to use it pretty well, we used to jam with me on the guitar.

Was great fun!

Looks like drums might become obsolete after seeing that.

LOL they already are... and have been for years...
Last conert i saw was Fleetwoof mac, the drummer got up off his seat... and started playing buttons on this big vest he had on... sounded just like the real thing except he was walking round on stage just tapping his vest...

I used to record my own albums a few years back playing all my own instruments and doing vocals, but using a programmable drum machine. The drum machines you can get these days are that close to the real thing, for recording you could just about do away with the full kit

My mates are in a band, and pay the hell out of drum machines...the drummer hates them with a passion....cheap mans drumkit...NOTHING beats the real thign I'm afraid!

Hence thats why you dont see any decent band using them....

I'm a bit rusty now, but back when I was drumming through highschool I had the same sentiments.

A cheap mans drumkit is a glorified metronome.

i play drums
you can keep your electric drumkits and drum machines
cos nothing beats the real thing
but drum machines are good for making beats and sampling etc
they serve a purpose...just wouldn't use them with a band

and the only person that should be playin drums on moby d!ck is bonam himself..no exceptions
