Hey all
Yes well my life (and the wife) is going to get a whole lot different come May 06. Yep, a mini JEM is on the way... i was hoping to get to 30 before even considering expanding, but i'm early. Although a little scary, i'm getting more and more excited with every day. Not only am i planning on a new car next year, there's a new house too... gonna be an expensive but fun year (mostly because of the new car)  : Jem. |

Congratulations mate... yeah its a bit daunting at first but you'll soon relax and get very excited. And as you'll soon discover, everyone around you will have an opinion about just about everything.... just take it on board and do your own thing.
Dont worry about age either.... i'm 28 and have 2 children  (damn I might need to lie down.....)

No matter what the sex, i can't wait to take the bub for a cruise... (how acceptable would it be to have a baby seat in an BF FPV hahaha)... fishing (will need to wait a while there though) and just living life with a little one. |

Good news JEM.
Its acceptable to put car seat in FPV. Ive got a car seat in my 74 gt coupe. Nobody mentioned it. If I were you id be getting the kid in the car for drives often to get em used to the driving around so they learn to travel well and sleep virtually anywhere. What was that about everyone having an opinion? Congrats

After attempting to clean out the shed on the weekend i am sure that all new children MUST SIGN a contract that enables parents to throw out / donate to charity any unused toys, books and other rubbish that collects over a life time.
One side of the shed is full of barbie this, tinka toy that, play group cardboard box sculpture and numerous amounts of pointless stuff and you would think that with both at high school age it could go west? But NO, it is their treasure and in no way am i allowed to clear this out. Congratulations on the good news. |

Congratulations,
Your life will change in many ways, all of them good. You will fret over things that you haven't even thought of yet: Is the baby really only sleeping, Id better just go and look. Those Cop shows that have kids being hurt on them will effect you in a way you didnt think possible. Should we buy the stroller with the cool 4 wheel steering? http://www.bertini.com.au/pages/bidwell.php , a hint here, they're much cheaper on ebay. Relax and enjoy the ride, and as Red_EL_XR8 said the inside of your car will never be the same colour, luckily mine's a company one and it dosen't matter. Congratuations. Having a baby is the best thing in the world. We have a 10mth old daughter and hubby is already dredding when she starts dating.
He reckons he will be one of those fathers sitting in the rocking chair on the verandah with a shotgun in his hand....LOL |

well done dont worry about your age under 30 is the perfect time to start having children.otherwise it is a battle trying to keep up with them as they grow . i'm glad my 1st was born when i was 29.

When Mrs MNM96 and IU had our first (ms MNM96) it was like bringing home an entertainment system. The TV never went on for three months. She was like better than anything. She is six now, and the most wonderful child you could ever have! I'm not talking her up because she is min either, because the second one( Master MNM96, 3) is a right little terror. I love them both like crazy, and wouldn't swap them for all the petrol in the world!(Despite paying $1.40 a litre tonight)
Anybody else find the firstborn easier to manage?????
