ok now I know some members are going to start having flash backs, so lets try and keep this to adds within the last 10 years.
usually when the adds are on radio/tv I tune out, but the following crack me up everything I see/hear them. 1. That Dulux (I think its them) add with the ghost chasing the guy then smacking the wall!..haha!..she goes down hard! 2. Every new VB add. Personally Ill drink the stuff, but im not a fan really. But their adds are the funny ones I have heard in YEARS! Where do I start..the "late night lamb souvalaki", the guy on the radio singing the VB theme song, the other add on the radio describing how well two six packs fit so well on the bottom shelf of the fridge (haha its so true) and that the celery doesn't deserve the crispness. So what adds crack you up?

Rolo used to have an ad on the telly where a kid teases a baby elephant. a few years later, the kid has grown up and is watching a street parade and the elephant walks past and socks him. one of the funniest ever.

My favorite ad would have to be the one that used the Baby-Mop (tm). I think it was for Kit Kat.

i reckon that peugot ad where the indian guy shapes his car into a 206 and goes cruising, is a classic. the music, the facial expressions, its all good. i have the actual video of it on my computer, but i dont have anywhere to host it. anyone? also, this ad is amusing for the sheer random factor:
high-quality (aka: cable) version: http://www.carltondraught.com.au/CanoeHigh.html low-quality (aka: dial-up friendly) version: http://www.carltondraught.com.au/CanoeLow.html an ad i dont like, that 'australia month' holden ad. im not having a stab at it just because its holden, if it was any company it'd still annoy me, but just the guys voice and the 'holden means a great deal to australia' at the end. shouldnt it be 'australia means a great deal to australia' instead of basically saying, 'you want and need us' edit: yay, now i get captain retard bothering me with propaganda whilst trying to view a ford on carsales as well (see attached image) Last edited by EB-maen; 23-01-2005 at 01:41 AM. |

"I'm sickened by the creeping tide of un-Australianism eroding our great traditions," Kekovich rants. "A balanced Australia Day diet should consist of a few nice, juicy lamb chops and beer.
"Your long-haired, dole-bludging types are indulging their pierced tastebuds in all manner of exotic, foreign and often vegetarian cuisine ... It's an absolute disgrace. And people ask why we need capital punishment? Kekovich even invokes the spirit of Anzac, asking viewers if the diggers were fighting for tofu sausages. "No. They were thinking of grabbing a lamb chop off the barbie with their bare fingers, sustaining third-degree burns, then sticking their hands in a relieving Esky to fish out a cold one," he says. "The soap-avoiding, pot-smoking hippie vegetarians might disagree with me, but they can get stuffed. "They know the way to the airport, and if they don't, I'll show them." http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...5E2702,00.html http://www.theage.com.au/articles/20...&oneclick=true

Never ever say an unkind word about Dave Hughes. He is a comedy genius! One of the funniest blokes around on the Aussie comedy scene.

2series of Very good car ones that didn't really get alot of airplay...
The Pugeot one with "Pugeot drivers are curtious to other road users" as one of their 205 Paris Dakar cars goes blasting past and cuts off another car in its dust, "Puegeot drivers are responsible road users" as the same car pulls this massive jump at high speed on the Paris Dakar..... The seires of Porsche ads with the engineers....on ended with "We learnt that you don't give an engineer a credit card" and the guys pulling a bunch of money out..... |

I think it's for Smirnoff Black, but the ad where a chick named Alex arrives in a bar on a blind date. She looks around and sees a guy at the bar alone, and asks if his name is Brad.
He says no. Cut to a shot of a yellow car with "THEBRAD" numberplates arriving at the bar. A sleazy, badly dressed pimpish looking guy gets out and the girl cringes. The guy at the bar that was talking to her gets an idea and after taking a sip of his drink gets up and walks over to Brad. "You must be Brad." Brad nods. The man continues; "I'm Alex." Brad gets back into the car and bolts. I saw it late one night with my father and we were laughing at it for 20 minutes.

funniest ad i've seen was for a sony camera (i think). Bloke's walking past a wall hearing people chanting the number 18. Looks into a hole in the wall and a finger comes out and pokes him in the eye. Chanting starts up again, 19,19,19.

you mean Toyota Hilux....?
One of the funniest ads i've seen is a 'three' company ad where a bloke has a whole bunch of watermelons with holes in them and he takes one into bed with him. It then flashes up with the words 'horny?' ,it's funny in a bit of a twisted way |

That Peugeot 206 ad with the Indian bloke smashing up his car is awesome. The Lamb Chop ad currently screening is excellent as well, saw it last night and was laughing for ages. A while ago there was an ad for the AU ute where the guy wishes for an AU ute and it suddenly appears, then another bloke says something like "what more could you want?" and the tray gets stacked with slabs of VB. A good ad for the intended market.
