Default Got MY Record Back 11.5 @ 120 mph

After beating the record with a 11.9 a couple of months ago for Australia's fastest stock Intercooler and internals unopened (Apart from valve springs), Another T ran a 11.6 and destroyed my last time. So i was back to Calder last night to get it back. As im still new to the drags im trying to perfect my launch.

Rob Vikory from HPF was there last nigh and i asked him to have a go and to get his thoughts on the car.

And the results?

11.567 @ 120.06 mph
60ft = 1.748

What can i say! I'm over the moon with the time and thanks Rob... Now the car has got back the record now lets see how long it last's

doesn't it feel good mate, these BA's keep running harder, closing the gap, and in the case of the turbo's, thrashing everything else!!

It is nice to see all these people from all different tuning shops enjoying their cars, Mr turbo normally has a pretty big smile, bet it was a metre wide when the timeboards lit up......

nevertheless, as myself and many others have learnt, records are nice, they dont last forever,

but the feeling you get after you wash your car is something you remember far longer. :

Was the previous record holder from up north? At the Nostalgia drag meet in Mackay a few weeks ago there was a BA T6 which they said is the fastest unopened T6 in the land. Can't remember what times it was running though but im pretty shure it wasn't that quick.

Thanks mate...The last best time was a 11.6 from one of Nizpro's customers from Vic. If you get the details let me know that will be great.

I'm not shure where the cars from as i'm not from Mackay myself. It was on its original street tyres as well. Do you run slicks of some sort? Don't think i got a photo of it so don't know any details. I think it is the same colour as yours.

Thats a great vid!
You better be coming to the AFF heathcote meet on saturday.

How do you launch your car? Can you launch on boost? How much boost are you launching with?

Thanks buddy, Im still running the standard stall converter but its been tricked up a little but cant launch above 3 grand if i do...bang! So i must watch the RPM instead of the PSI. It was at 2800rpm when it launched. A good trick to also launch on boost is to use your handbreak so i was told.

Rob... I'll try hard to make it to Heathcote _2:

Cool! I raced mine for the first time yesterday and dropped my 60' heaps using the handbrake. That got a few more psi out of it before it crept forward.

Cant wait to see yours run!
