Hi guys.
I have just posted a thread in the NSW Events area: Hi all. Every year there is a group of us Ford guys that go from Canberra to Heathcote for the AFF Drag Nationals. In the past we have teamed up with some of the boys and gals from Tumut under the banner of Team Brindabella (the name of the mountain range between Canberra and Tumut). The FPV and XR Owners Club of ACT is seeking interest from our Canberra and region AFF members to join us for the trek to Heathcote. There are three confirmed entries already. In the past, we have met our Sydney friends at Yass and travelled together. Please feel free to copy the list and add your name, car and meet point in a new post. 1. Stu - T2 TS50 - Gold Creek 2. Chris V - BF GT-P - Gold Creek 3. Ray - AU3 V8 Wagon - Gold Creek 4. 5. 6. For the Canberra guys and gals, our usual meet point for Barton Hwy cruises is Gold Creek Maccas Car Park. Travel time from Canberra to Heathcote is a good 6 to 7 hours depending on stops. The gates open at 4pm at Heathcote, so to maximise daylight time to set up camp, I would like to be there at 4. To cater for meet ups and the associated delays, can the Canberra crew be at the meet point at 07:00 for a departure at 07:30 Sharp? For the more northern participants that wish to join us in convoy, that will mean we will be at Yass Service Centre around 08:00 to 08:15. Our UHF channel will be Channel 10 I am looking forward this cruise and the AFF Drag Nats. It is always fun. For those seeking accommodation Saturday, out team usually books a motel in Bendigo (get onto it, accommodation is starting to get thin in Bendigo on Saturday) and meet for dinner. I do believe you can camp on track on the Saturday night as well. Cheers Stu The thead in the NSW area must be autorised by a mod. When it is authorised, I will post a link here Please update the soon to be linked thread. Not this one. This is a FYI for members only. Cheers Stu
