Default PM issue?

Hi Russ,

I have received 3 emails today to say that I have new private messages, however when I log in there is nothing there.
Is there an issues ATM?

Check the date on the email. Russ was doing things with the mailer on the server and it had a bunch of older emails that it sent out.

I've been annihilated by emails today since he has started fiddling with the mail server. I've received over 40 emails in the last hour alone. Wouldn't be much of a problem except my phone is about to die from constantly buzzing with new emails :/

Russel pls

Okay, this is getting a little ridiculous, now up to 65ish emails for the day just from AFF. Will this be fixed or will we receive a steady flow of backed up notifications dating back however far.

Please be patient guys. It is a current issue and I am sure Russ is working hard behind the scenes and will have it sorted out soon.

Good thing is, it is reminding me of old threads I haven't viewed in awhile

Cheers

Sorry about this for those it is causing troubles to but we needed to reactivate sendmail which has obviously been collecting some notifications in the background and is now happily sending them out.

The digests are normally sent just after midnight along with the birthday messages and any warnign system changes but they may be at other times over the next few days as we stop and restart the cron services which manage those tasks.

Cheers
Russ

Is there anyway you can have the system delete any notifications after a certain age? Or are we going to have to swim through a few hundred emails until it stops.

Will a mailbox rule sort the issue for you? Just have it delete any emails from AFF with a send date older then 1 week.
