Hi Mate, can you still replace the timing chain tensioners on a boss 290 (BA GT/P)? I noticed that in previous posts you mention that it costs around the $1000 mark, is that still correct? i am on the Gold Coast and i see you have a branch up this way.
I am hoping to buy an 03 GT/P and looking at it this morning the motor seems very quiet, no rattles but the owner doesn't know if that job has been done. Cheers Ed |

Only some cars were fixed under warranty from ford.. most owners have had to replace them at there cost over the years..
Best is get the chance to start the car when its cold.. make sure they have not started it before you get there.. this should show if the problem is there or not.. If you are not sure go see the guys from Elite as they will be able to help you out..

Thank you for that mate, i did start it when it was stone cold and it seemed fine but i will take your advice and take it to elite and get them to have a look.
