Talking Amiga Games! for windows!

I was really happy to find this site :

http://thecompany.pl/game

has hundreds of amiga games that you just click on and they work!

I loved our Amiga my dad bought us in 1986! Was an Amiga 1000, and so far ahead of anything else! I think I remember it cost $2500 and our colour 9 pin printer cost $1000! Which is what, in our money now $10 grand+ for a computer!! Geesh! thanks dad!!

I'm having fun playing a few old games like Stuntcar!

yes they where a pretty good machine, and some of the software was lots times better than the pc stuff in it`s day, simple to use and made to work well with limited ram, one of my favorite programs was deluxe paint, very fast and easy to use for it`s day, games where quite good too, in our family we had an amiga 1200, a 2000 with pc card in it to run any pc software, amiga 3000, it`s a pity the company went belly up, guru meditation
thanks for the link.

I am very impressed how well the games work!! Other than this its really hard to get them working well!
How good is Pinball Dreams/Fantasies and Stardust!!
These games are still quite decent! And fun and the sound is reproduced well too!

Too bad they dont have Test Drive 1 2 and 3!
I have a sad story, after having the Amiga 1000 until a few years ago, yes we kept it for about 23 years! I had it over at my mums, and I always said to her its cool, just keep it there so when we come over we can have a go sometimes. She dropped it off at some PC recyling place! Hundreds of disks, expanded memory, extra drive, monitor etc. I see that all this in top nick and working well is worth lots! Not that we would have sold it. So angry at her!!aghhh!! Rang the place she dropped it off at the next day. they said they had already 'gotten rid of it all' I guess that means they are selling it all on ebay...

retro gaming is alive and has been for years.

Sounds great! 16gb must be about the whole lot?!! Do they run as well on Windows as the games from the link in the first post?

How do you do this? Sounds good!

Its funny the talk of Megadrive. I cleaned my old one (a classic MD2 not one of these modern versions with built in games) the other day and have been playing it a lot.

As for the Master System, never had an 8 bit console, I went straight to 16 bit after the Commodore 64.

Now I'm contemplating either getting a Master System to go with my Megadrive, or one of the converters you could get - plug it into your Megadrive and then put a Master System game cart in and it would work. Leaning more towards an actual Master System 2, due to the fact Alex Kidd in Miracle World carts are VERY hard to find as everyone had it built in to their MS2. Unless you got one of the very last ones which apparently had Sonic The Hedgehog built in but I've never seen one of those yet.

Thanks for the link to the Amiga games, very interested in a lot of retro stuff (especially hifi or video gaming). I never had an Amiga, or got much chance to use one, however I'll probably spend a few hours with what you've put up.

If anyone else is into emulation, I strongly recommend MAME for Arcade, CCS64 for C64 games, ZSnes for SNES, and I can't remember what my Sega one is called because I have an actual Sega console!

I was heavily into the Amiga scene and because I managed to keep most of my Amiga gear and keep it running through the years I have been able to help a bit with the archive work to preserve some of the old Amiga software. Amazing that there are still things missing and still being found all this time later

I had an A500 and an A2000. Have had a crack at some of the emulators over the years and each time I just realise how far games have come and how pathetic my nostalgic memory is.

I used to play the frig out of Gunship 2000. I had another crack at it again a couple of years ago thinking, games aren't what they used to be.. why can't we go back to the golden age?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqfX3...eature=related

Now I play this, about as closely modelled to real as you're going to get on a PC

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC3RA...eature=related

They're trying to resurrect the Amiga - I have the OS downloaded somewhere and the hardware is cobbled together PC gear with a 50% premium on top. Cash grab at the 40 somethings that I doubt got any traction.

Run,8,1

And I.think you're right with the ctrl run shift there. There was a run button on the C64.

I once had every domestically sold Sega console, I still am a big fan so im heavily contemplating rebuilding my collection.

The best emulator for 8-16-bit era Sega is "Fusion". Just remember, we dont promote illegal things here, so unless you own the actual cartridge then downloading the ROMs for it is breaching copyright laws.

LOAD"*",8,1

Would load the first program on the disk.

CCS64 is a great emulator, you don't need to remember all the commands. Basically hit F9 on your keyboard, and go from there. Real easy - just watch out though, it emulates the old C64 keyboard, so to get the " character, its shift+2 because that's where it was on a C64 keyboard.

By the way, has anybody seen the NEW Commodore 64 & Amiga you can buy? Looks like the old ones, but with modern goodness built into it. I was seriously considering buying one but really don't know if I can justify yet another PC. http://www.commodoreusa.net/CUSA_Home.aspx

Phht, i'm more of a Pong guy...

Oh the ten cent pieces I shoved down the throat of those little tabletop two-seat game machine playing Space Invaders, Galaxians, or Missile Command...

As for that brand new Commodore 64!! I still have mine packed away in a box. I bought it back around 1984 I think. Ah, the happy days of sitting with a graphics program and typing in thousands of lines of Basic code to produce one picture...

look up emulation. There is an emulator for every system u can think of
that you can run on your pc. Game roms are still easily downloadable as they are in a 'grey' area.

( a couple will need an original bios rom image to work, like the amiga emulator winaue ((windows ultimate amiga emulator)) but these can be found easily on the net. )

Also, check out heaps of forums, like lemon64, lemonamiga, English amiga board, atari age etc etc etc...

I've just recently downloaded 100gb of nintendo DS roms to run on my emulator.

Lemmings is funny, as a kid in the 90's I deemed certain levels "Impossible" - ie, there was no way in hell they could be beat legitimately, cheats MUST be used.

Then playing again as an adult a few years later the answers just clicked and finally, I managed to pass them without cheats.
