Default NSW - Has a new Premier, our first Female.

Sounds like a yank (is/was-dual?), but anyhow . . . .

http://www.theage.com.au/national/ke...1203-k8n0.html

Shame about the other hangers on. Born in Ohio, mmm - wonder if she'll make us do 55Mph (88km/h) max, and force us to drive LHD cars lol :-))

Notes to self, check NSW Constitution.....

Shame about the sleazy hangers on.

she may well be exactly what the labor party needs, if she leads by herself, but, there must have been deals struck with the 3 mentioned below,

still he didn't grow a pair until today, when at the 11th hour he gives it to them, should have done it a long time ago and he'd still be there and the state would probably be moving forward

I thought Nathan was okay EXCEPT he was the only one keen to spend several billion on that stupid metro project. How about the poor schmucks out in the north west with only the M2?

March 2011 cannot come soon enough. These clowns all should be taken out onto Macquarie Street and run over by the first bus that comes along.

They are all in it too get as much out of the system as they can before they get booted.

damn straight, but somehow they keep getting voted in, it'll happen again, if K. Rudd keeps throwing money at people. the ill informed don't recognise the difference between state and federal, just see the dollars from a labor govt and will vote them in again

I have no issue with a woman in the job what I do have an issue with is having a yank running the state she was born in the US and her father is American to me that should rule her out
this just proves how out of touch NSW labour is with the people , bring on 2011

Well in LIB terms, the people have spoken, NO to ETS and like tax deals till after Copenhagen at least.

I'd like a fed senate study with wide references into the whole climate change business that include the leaked email and backlash resulting from that. A subject elsewhere on all that here @ forum.

This will be the shortest term a Premier has been in power. Fifteen months.

She is just what NSW needs. An American Born puppet, who will do nothing more than Carr, Iemma and Rees. Two of those 'Premiers' we did not vote for in the first instance (Iemma managed to win an election), but we have had two in a row that do not deserve to be there.

Oh yes, I'll add this, I'm a Liberal, but I can't see myself voting at all in 2011. Neither side have impressed thus far.

Paxton,

I'd not be so dismissive of NSW opposition, Nats Andrew Stoner is fighting the ongoing campaign against vehicle height business (YouTube his channel name) and they have accepted some 'new directions' in road safety. Rem that in a coalition, a 'private members bill' becomes organisational policy.

I can and do expect some RTA organisational turmoil ahead. They will inherit a 'deep mess'.

Regardless of ones political leaning, many or most MP's have Facebook pages (and Tweets) and most do manage that privately, some with staffer help.

Although after seeing Anna's Blighs effort then I can understand why NSW would be nervous.

If you had any idea about the State of the NSW State Government, and the fact that we have had three premiers in three years (only one that we actually could vote for), and a 'Government' that is being controlled by the Party itself, not their constituents, then you would see why we in NSW are so dismissive of this latest stunt.

There's more to this state then Newcastle Sydney Woollongong to you realise, how about a far go out on the other side of the great dividing range for once.

Out here we've just had the speed limited dropped on one of the states biggest and boringest highway's which has very few overtaking lanes. So now cars are travelling at the same speed as 20t semi's and 50t road-trains. If these dim-witted morons got there lieing rear ends out here and tried to overtake one of these said vehicles like most of us country folk have to do on a regular basis there would be carnage

They umm and arr about building an inland rail corridor that would result in safer roads and build the economy of inland/outback NSW which would help build the states economy.
