Default Chris goes army.

Chris' reputation looks to have reached some pretty high places. In the latest Street Machine there's an article about the army looking to build another show car. They're looking at an LTD and one option is to go with a Bluepower Kenne Bell 5.4 boss.
Congratulations dude.

Having seen Armygeddon in its home turf @ Latchford, these boys are very very good at what they do - as is Chris. They should be able to come up with an amazing car between them.

Awesome stuff. I know the US Military get cars done up and turn up to car events to try and attract people for recruitment. I hear Chris is also specking up vehicles to race along runways.......

I was lucky enough to come across the LTD on base today, its currently stripped back on a rotisserie. The plans for it sound very good indeed and hopefully I'll come across it going along Mt Martha Street sideways :hihi:

Last time I saw it was on the rotisserie and they had another donor LTD hanging around too. I'm there on Tuesday so provided they havent all gone away for Christmas I should be able to get a pic of it.

Better there than some 2 bit rag head country that wouldn't help us if we needed it, look at the money our government wastes in donations every year. Atleast that engine gave me a hard on...

Niether the time nor place for this.

Regardless of what engine is in the car it is work of art and a real credit to the guys building it. Ive heard a few people comment along the lines of it being a waste of money but if it even just shows off what these guys are capable of, it really puts into perspective what they can do, and more importantly, who we have on our side should the poo hit the fan.

Daniel,

yeah it is mate, a Starr Performance setup. An LS7 (allegedly), with a 3.3 litre whipple (no, whoops, as Matt from Yella Terra and I found out, a Lysholm blower, that needed carbon dating).

It is soon being replaced (sorry to offend anyone with the repeated use of the L word........) with an LS1 with a Pro-Stroke 383 forged internals, thanks Clint. A custom Crow Hydraulic Roller, thanks Marty and John and Rob. Crankies to do the machine work, Ian and Brett. And Nathan Higgins to port the heads.

Finally Chris and Agro are putting a Kenne Bell 2.8H on the thing, 8.5:1 Static comp and 15psi intercooled.......... :evil3: Should do the trick nicely.

Ben

Awesome.

15 pounds on a 383 with plenty of revs is going to be a mean SOB. Why is the LS7 coming out? I know they are no good with big boost (cylinder wall thickness) but surely they can be built stronger...... Titanium rods are niiiicccee!

Cool

the hour meter reads 161. 95% of that is driven in anger at 12-13psi.
Static compression and leak down test results are all over the place.
Time to make a preemptive strike rather than waiting for it to go south.

And the beauty is, the LS1 had been sitting there for a while as a backup.
may as well use it. Agro is just salivating at the idea of a big "H" girl on the beast.

you know all about the "H" anyway :voldar02:
