As far away from Geelong as possible

no just kidding. I quite like Geelong but I went out with one of your Geelong girls once and she was bonkers.

Hobart is nice this time of year........ if you like the cold................and the dark.............and not a lot to do.

I'd say head to maybe Hamilton Island or Port Douglas

Pick somewhere upmarket and exclusive. I would recommend bedarra Island (http://www.bedarraisland.com/) as it is very very nice. Or you could go for Lizard Isnland or Herron Island etc.

Warrnambool. I dont care how cold or wet it is at this time of year. Warrnambool would be my first choice.

we asked for a budget but they still did not give one . we have to put three choices together and submit them in a couple of days . I think going overboard would be a problem but still not sure .

2 days is a short stay, so you do not want to spend it all on a plane
Better to do a dirty weekend in Sydney at say the PArk Hyatt or some other 5 star Sydney hotel. Take in the sights, catch a show and enjoy the room.

Depends what you want....

Tourists, theme parks and getting out and about.... Gold Coast, but stay out of the heart of Surfers.

Or if youo just want to relax and take it easy for two days.... Margaret River Region or Hunter Valley. Relax and take in some wineries.... can't go wrong.

I was first thinking Port Douglas, but being the father of 4 and 2 year olds and never having much time alone, the idea of the dirty weekend not a long flight from home really appealed to me! LOL!

Enjoy that 5 star room son! LOL!

Port Douglas. Port maquarie is sooooooooooo boring! nothing to do at all! other then bum on the beach, but that wears thin unless you grew up on it, know how to surf an all that..

I would sayyy

either port douglas, go fishin on the daintree :P

or sydney, stay at the Four Seasons or the Shangr'ila very nice places, very nice views
