Hey guys,

ive got a 393 windsor, pushing about 540hp and 530ftlb of torque. an exact same engine has run in an xy and recorded 11.7@120 mph. car had toploader, 3.7 diff ratio and 205/70 street tyres. what potential time does 120mph have? im guessing cause of the street tyres his take off was crap. ill be running 10inch slicks and 4.11's in mine through a toploader. cant wait to get out there once i get my proper tailshaft from the states.

Low 11s with 120mph.

An example of a car with more grip would be the new 911 Turbo, 11.4 @ 120.5mph.

120 mph is bordering on high tens, but with a car perfectly set up for drag racing, most street cars are a compromise, so low 11's are possible

thanks guys, i got an offer for a transbrake c4 with all the goodies, for dirt cheap. i might sell my toploader with all the gear and fit that up. the toploader has all the billet gears and crap inside so a good rev dump at the track should be fine... so i dont know what to do at the moment

Go for the auto option. The toploader will most likely break with hard launches.

Be a man and shift your own gears ;)

Yeah, it's a hard one. For pure drag racing the auto would be the go....and a lot better in the consistency department if you get into the racing.

I always like looking at the super sedan/street racing results. Scroll down and you'll see all the mph results and their et's. Show's how a good setup chassis & suspension and make a big difference. All about getting off the line quick.

Could be anywhere from a high 10 to a high 11

Thats a very good time with 205's and 3.7's. Very impressive actually.

Slicks will probably drop 4 or 5 tenths off there at most. Those 205's are really hooking up!
