I'm Not really a soccer fan... But do love a punt!
I see Czech Republic are $46 to win the world cup, yet are rated No.2 in world rankings, so for a bit of long term interest, I've just thrown 100 of my hard-earned on them. No way could you logically take Brazil @ $2.75?
Anyone's thoughts? :

I don't care what the world calls it. It's Soccer and not Football. Sorry all. Had to say it. Football is a general catagory ie. Sport where foot and ball sometimes meet.

Technically its football but as AU2XLSV8 said, in this country its too much of a generalisation.

Go the 'Roos! Should win, depending on what side is out on the park and how they play the game. Wouldnt be surprised if Guus sends out the 'B' side.

We call it soccer in Australia because the word football has been bastardised by Aussie Rules and the local rugby codes.

Go the mighty V-bomber!

herehere ! :

The result won't matter next week as long as injuries are nil.
Semi B side will be on but to the Greeks in Melb it's their Cup final as a consilation for not making the cup.

I am comfortable under my rock..... it helps me avoid guys with shirts over their head running up and hugging me.

It's football. The local NRL and Union are Rugby... and AFL... that's just... py:

I don't see how you can say its not football, its a game where the ball makes contact with the player's feet... and is only moved around the field with your feet.

I would rather be hugged by a soccer player then have an Aussie Rules player grab my butt or a rugby player stick his finger up my date!
