Ok, im a tad wee bit confused, now as i thort that u were only allowed avatar's of 100x100. But ive been seeing quite a few people with avatars with a higher resolution then this, some of them dont appear to be mods etc so im confused. Can anybody help me out??

just some changes as the site was being setup.
currently a registered user can have an avatar 100/100 A moderator can have 150/150 Donating Members will also have 150/150 (when established)

What application does everyone use to change pics for avatars? I've tried (Kodak) Imaging for Windows, and MS Paint but to no avail. No matter how much I try, I cannot reduce the size of any pics without losing quality (or part of the pic itself). Should I be using some other app? :

try photoshop, you always loose quality when you resize though
