nah nothing too bad just a couple of broken glasses from all the dishes falling off the shelf. so far there are no reports of extensive damage. i cant see how it could cause too much damage, just a small one really

Yeah it was rather noisy considering how weak it was. Woke me up and woke up one of my 2 year old boys, he coming running into bed with me crying. It sounded like thunder and it took me a while to work out what it is. I kept thinking of what else it could have been like a bomb or shot firing some rock somewhere. Wasn't until i seen it on the news a realised it was an earthquake

We felt it out here at Bushy Beach. Spoke to a mate in Bowen, his whole shed was shaking and rattling. I didn't notice it until my wife said something, then it got worse and suddenly stopped.

I don't know about it being under Inkerman but I can sure tell yu it gave Ayr a good rattle.

I had plates rattling in the cupboard and the aircon in the wall shook like all **** only lasted 2 or so minutes but wow.

I wonder if it had and affects on the Burdekin Dam, it all ready has a couple of cracks so I am told.

The old cracks in the dam rumour..... seems every dam during this wet season which has overflowed has cracked and is ready to doom everyone to a watery grave!

Still havent felt anything and im near the mater hospital.

Mate weather the Dam has a crack or not I don't know I was just thinking out loud and curious as to the DOOM and GLOOM and a Watery grave for god sake wake up I am not talking doom mate in any way.

Why is it people have to twist words and not just stick to the story

cheers

Er um... you did see the smiley face?

I didnt twist anything:

You said you were told the dam has cracks in it....
I replied to your comment telling you what you were told is a load of rubbish.
During the height of the Brisbane floods rumours started about the Wivenhoe dam was cracking.
Rumours also about the Townsville dam cracking....

Why keep spreading these rumours?

Gday chappy. We have probably met before. Did you have a silver XD or the XW(Y?) blue ute??

I grew up there and Mum and Dad said they felt it pretty good.

Oh. Father in law retired last year from Sunwater as the maintenance scheduler. No cracks in the Burdekin Dam. They have just finished a 2 month holiday and head back up there tomorrow so I just asked him

Cheers

News flash. A jetski has just struck the wall of the Burdekin Dam and Townsville has been completely destroyed.
Wulguru to Pallarenda, Upper Ross to Oonoonba. All gone.
Refugees being cared for on Palm Island.

Best if I go back to the ironing board now methinks.

Nahhh!!!!.......It`s usually so dry in Townsville, all that water would just soak in and MAYBE turn the lawns a darker shade of khaki

If we go by the "fire, floods and famine" then whats next??

Seem to recall a lot of khaki in 'Mt Isa-by-sea'.
And hasn't it bucketed down this year ? Got 300 mm in 2 days or so.

What's next ? Off-duty ringers will actually be defeated by the Renegays at the annual Hervey Range rodeo blue . Unheard of.
