Default Subscribed threads notification emails

I'm a bit confused with the way the emails are sent.

Some threads send a new post email and no more till I check the thread.
On some other threads, the new post emails will keep coming regardless of checking the thread (which I prefer).

All threads I'm subscribed to are set for instant (email) notification.
Is there a setting I've missed? I do like emails for every post.

Seems to be working fine now anyway.

Actually no, scratch the above post, it isn't working correctly.
It does seem to still have a case of Holdenitis.
I got one notification and assumed it was fixed. Didn't get one for another subscribed thread.

Not that I am trying to hassle the admin, I just thought I would let you guys know.
Certainly wouldn't be top priority

One of the things we have done in an effort to reduce peak server load is batched the notifications process - the server originally was set to send a new post notification each time a triggering event happened. During peak periods this meant that a lot of emails were being sent to a lot of people in an almost continuous stream and this has now been changed so that it saves them and sends them whenever the server load drops below a predefined value.

If you don't get them at all check the junk in-box first and if they aren't there either then let me know and I can check the mail-logs.

Worth noting (at this point) that we get about 500 email bounce messages a day because people have changed their email addresses and not updated them in the User CP - something else that has to be cleaned up on a regular basis.

Cheers
Russ
