Default CD Player not working

Can anyone help please. I have a BF series 2 XR8 with a 6 stacker cd. The problem is that the cd player will not let any cd's to be loaded. There is no cd's in the player. Any ideas.

Thanks
WarrenK

Looked through forum and it appears there is no easy fix, just a replacement. Am I correct?
