Default BF Question

Hello Guys and Gals,
Just a quick Question im a new XR Owner got a BF xr6 late last year. Love it by the way whilst driving l noticed a ticking noise coming from the engine checked it out and seemed to be coming from the EFI. I took it back to the place where l bought it and they assured me that this is completly normal. Over the past few weeks it has become more pronounced and does not seem to stop as it did before (it was intermitent before) took it back again to complain of the noise as its quite loud but again they assured me that it was normal. Im almost ready to take it to another dealer to see if they give me the same answer, but a friend of mine told me about this site. So if anyone can let me know if this is normal or if l should consult another dealer please let me know. Thanks Mark.

Also is there any good clubs in the melbourne area. If so how do i get in touch with them.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

- Does the ticking occur when you first start the car and take off? Or does it continue for the time that you are driving?

Wil

Hi wil,
It does start when you first start the car and it used to stop after a few minutes but now it is pretty constant. Ford said that it had something to do with releasing presure. That it was sorta like a valve

Hmm, take it to another dealer. Southside Ford are pretty good up that way, they're in 56 Ipswich Rd, Woolloongabba.
