Looks hot but I think from a legality view its not legal because from what I can recall they include the boot in that aswell unfortunatly since the boot isnt sealed from the cabin area.

I heard this isnt necessarily the case if you have lpg. As the fumes aren't the main issue, the noise will be though. Still, if its a weekend car, who cares right?

in beween rain showers, i got under the ute (au3 xr8) and pulled off the tail pipe and rear muffler off the stock exhaust, doesnt sound too bad, little droany on take off, and it vibrates the coins in my cup holder, but u cant hear that with the radio on, but all in all, a nice little mod that cost me no $$$ and only 10 mins of my time....

I have 3" dumpers on the XA, it sounds awsome, but very loud on the street, the best way would be to incorperate dumpers with a full system and have a lever in the cabin to close change between legal and loud.
Something like this.

mines not really excessively loud, it still has the stock main muffler which is quite a big sucker.... it does sound good though, especially since it was a free mod, plus it cleans up the look of the rear a bit too

i must be the only one who hates them they make a mess off your under carage and more than likely will corrode stuff under neath not to mention the poisons gases that will come into your cabin (people have been killed by this)
love the look of twin pipes on muscle cars especially xy GT though a lot of people have the wrong angle on the tips

I had twin 2.5 dumpers on my old XR8

Was ok, wouldn't do it again as it made the back of my car constantly dirty. I liked the look more then anything.
