Default A site for free stuff for your mobile phones

Just thought people might be interested in http://mobile17.smashsworld.com/ - from the site:
Quote:
If you could create mobile content online, for free... you would, right?
mobile17 lets you use your own music and photos to generate ringtones, graphics, and more -- on your terms.
Oh, and if you find youself at all confused when entering your phone number, enter 61 in the first box (for Australia) and then your normal mobile number in the other box.

Yes, there are ways of doing this stuff yourself, but this way requires no knowledge or skills, anyone can do it.

Enjoy!

Ok did you take off the first 0 of your number?

For example, say your mobile number is 0404 555 555... you type in 61404 555 555.

It seems to be working for me... so far. It's asking a heap of quezzies!

All I get is this:
Quote:
mobile17: You don't need to use the site to transfer MIDIs or Moving Graphics to your phone via a Data-Cable or Bluetooth, you can just transfer them directly to your phone.

I can get the backgrounds to work, but I wanted to create my own ringtone and it won't let me.

So it's a free site? So I guess they'll pay for the site by selling your number to spammers?

Oh, sorry about that, I'd only tried it to make my own background (same one as my avatar, lol) and to make my own ringtone from an MP3 (first 10 seconds of frantic by Metallica, hehehe), I hadn't tried out anything else, sorry.

Did anybody else have a look at the "mobile17 and 'sTT' have officially declared war on Jamster!" link (http://www.smashsworld.com/2005/04/i...on-jamster.php) on that page?

It seems it is free, but he had put a system in place where if you donate it works faster. IMO not a big enough incentive to donate, maybe if there was more content or it was a lot slower then it is, but the way it is now, I doubt many people will donate.

Oh well, sorry it wasn't more useful to everyone. Has anybody got some good links for this sort of thing?
