Ive just sorta heard about V8Factor? Where do I get a copy?? VERY interested.. Is V8F just an add on for GTR2?

Hey guys Im having trouble installing new tracks onto GTR2. Im wondering if nayone on here can help me out. Ive installed the v8supercars mod onto GRT2 and that worked fin, but i cant figure exactly where to unzip the tracks to. I tried unzipping them to the Tracks folder, but when I try to race on the tracks the game just crashes.

Double check that they are GTR2 tracks and not GTR tracks. Here is a link to a forum thread regarding this. Check here for some other possible answers.

I posted all the stuff you need on page 2. No it aint for gtr2 its a seperate game imo better.

Anyone still going strong playing this, I bought the game at release last year, but played it for the first time this weekend... (slack i know!)

Finally, i can see what everyone was going on about, wouldnt mind getting some mods for Aus tracks/cars liveries etc etc...

I just purchased a copy today. The problem with these racing simulators is there is no depth perception and you can't feel what the car is doing. But the graphics is great.

Im struggling somewhat with getting braking markers right, from higher speed stops... Sometimes im gunning it again to get to the corner, othertimes in in the run off.... ! Will get there eventually, but its certainly a lot more realistic than some of the driving sims of the past... none of this stomping on the pedal rubbish.... I also turned all of the driving aids off, except for TC on low and ABS on low. Which i guess given lack of feel, you need some level of assistance there....

And I am really struggling to understand all the settings on the car.... But i guess over time I will also learn that.... !

Going to get back into playing it while I'm on holidays. Setting up the wheel on my desk is a pain in the ****.

Plenty of aussie tracks and a V8 Supercars mod though.

I downloaded the offical patch but cannot workout how to install it. What the hell is a RAR file and how do I install it?

Rar is a different type of zipping program, much more efficient that winzip.... plus has the ability to create 100 x 1mb files if you wanted to do that, or turn a 7gig file into 10 x 700mb files to fit onto CD's.

Click this link and find the download, and install.. its pretty quick.. i havnt got around to installing the patch yet, but should do shortly.

Are there any Australian servers for multiplayer? I find when I race the overseas guys that the lag is pretty bad.

There used to be a number of V8 Supercar mod GTR2 servers a while back. Not sure now though.

There are also Australian only leagues around.
