no im not talking about chameleon paint either. what im talking about is house paint. thats right, house paint that changes colour. anyone heard of it or even used it before? found it today in a catalogue and for those that havent heard of it, this is what it does.
its paint for your ceiling. its pink, you paint it on and when it dries it turns white which is its final colour. the reason it is originally pink is so you can see if youve missed a bit or not. so what other kinds of applications could this technology have in the Auto industry i wonder? (or any other for that matter) im also wondering how it actually works as well. i thought it would be pretty hard to make pigment change its own colour and stay that way, if thats how it works? |

That would be really handy for doing clear over base coats on cars.
Bloody hard to see if you've missed anywhere until it's too late. :(

Its most likely some ozone depleting substance thats making the hole even friggen bigger. Sorry no idea cool concept tho if you've ever struggled applying a new coat over similar existing color.

Yeah they've been advertising it here for a fair while now, that and the paint that reflects heat for homes at winter time, on the ad they use a thermal imager to show how the heat reflects off the walls

Yeah, I could've bought some for my place but decided against it. I figure if you can't tell the difference between existing dry paint and shiny new wet paint then you shouldn't be painting... hehehehe

We used that 'pink' ceiling paint when we started re-painting the house last year. We don't have good lighting in the 2nd lounge so doing the ceiling with that stuff made the job alot easier.

There was a glue stick like that out ages ago that was pink then turned clear when it dried.

That reminds me of that paint ad where the ghost tries to go thru the wall with the special paint and gets owned..... lol
