oh ok thanks, i wonder how powerful that is relatively compared to a nasty one and also compared to a really small tremour like I've felt before?..

It's a strange sensation isn't it. At first i thought it was a truck going past or something, but there was no noise really. Went for a while too..

I've felt little ones before, but never known what they were till heard later on news or something and thought, oh yeah i remember a strange shaking..

Would be quite an experience being in a big one, not that i would want to be.

If one more person says "did the earth move for you?"...

Yeah at first I had no idea what it was but when it kept going I knew, I am the same as you in the past I have felt them but thought almost nothing of it at the time.

My missus says "did the earth move for you?" every night so I guess I'm used to it....

Update: It struck at 1.34pm in the Bunyip State Park, 70km east of Melbourne.

Glad they clarified that... I was thinking I must have been pretty much standing on it if it was 15kms NE of Danynong!

So are all the continents moving the same way or are we going to have a head on! Actually I think it's the plates that move isn't it which means anything could happen.... I guess I won't be around to worry about it probably have to move a few thousand kms so um 2000 km = 200000000 cm/7 = 28.5 million years.... yeah pretty sure I won't live that long lol. BTW if the math is wrong i don't want to know ok :
