Default AUFalcon.com gone backwards

Is it just me or do others think AUfalcon.com has gone backwards. Sure it has some new features and a different look but it used to have some really good articles in the "technical" "articles" and "workshop" sections which all had really good description and pictures but since they revamped the site all that has gone. They had some invaluable stuff there to refer people to i cant understand why they didn't bring it accross in the revamp. Ah well just an opinion but I am disappointed.

Many of those missing articles have become very outdated and basically redundant. There are about a dozen articles I still have to put up however, rather than just dumping them all on, I am adding them every few weeks to keep the site refreshed.
Plesse feel free to contribute any new articles you might want to write, I'll happily put them on the site as well.

well maybe if you were abit more specific about what you thought was so valuable Casper and the powers to be might try and upload things on a priority system.. I don't know but you didn't ask why or when but jumped down pretty hard on a free site that is all volunteer and member contributed.

well the chrome door handles mod, or removing bumper bars, and stuff like that certainly isnt outdated or redundant. same with the dash LED's.

also, sure a pod filter isnt the best setup for intake, but some people still like it, so i dont see why all the articles cant be put back up.

people are free to do what they want for their cars, even if it isnt the "most correct" or "best" way of doing it.

Unfortunately some of the old how to's were lost when the old site was decommissioned as the backup I had of them was destroyed (DVD was accidentally destroyed).
Theres not too much I can do to recover them at present however if the original suppliers of the articles (JC and Falkeen were instrumental in providing a lot of these tutorials) have them I would be more than happy to re add them to the site.

I think the effort gone into the site in the latest version far outweighs any negative that a few missing articles might have.

Yep, send them over. Keeps a nice "back catalog" of tutorials I can continue to load up to keep the site fresh! :1syellow1

Probably just a minor Admin oversight that will no doubt be corrected soon

Here I am, next time I wont post between trips. Just drove back from just south of Bega to Blue Mountains today. just an overnighter. Am stuffed.
Was thinking of all those wonderfully illustrated things like the cold air grafting to the pod system and the cluster removal etc. they weere all really well done and I was going to point someone to that particular article on the cluster because it was so descriptive but as the man said the disc got wiped and not all could be brought accross. Tis a shame but never mind I suppose things haven't been re done by people because a lot would now already know how to do these things but by the posting re the cluster there are still a few that don't. Anyway the AU didn't go backwards just like was said , it went well. Filled up at bega and drove 504km home and the DTE says 258km before empty.

If you create your vehicle, you can then select the fuel type.

Filled it till I could fill no more this morning on the way down the mountain. I put 52 litres in it and the accurate figure was 10.04 L/100km not bad considering I took a trip through city on way back. The math says with the 28 litres left in the tank it should have gone another 278 km so it would seem the DTE is fairly accurate.

I can understand that, we all have lives and, as much as I would like to say otherwise, my time on AFF and AUFalcon is limited (and getting more so every day) as other things take priority.
