Default Women, Bad Run. Why Me :(

Man the suckiest thing happened tonight. I go to a mates going away party. Im about to leave after 2 hours and i see this chick in the kitchen im like holy krap check her out shes stunning! I also have no idea how to pick up chicks. So i start a convo and it took off like a rocket.

We talked from 11pm untill 2am. Getting along really well didnt run out of anything to speak about even talked about DRUMS! She loves them her brother is a professional drummer with something, anyway. I was REALLY liking this girl I was gonna do the old. 'So do you maybe wanna go out some time'?

My mate had been looking at me all night comes over and goes GLENN COME CHECK THIS OUT so i go in this room and there is nothing there he goes. You realise thats Tim`s new girl friend dont you?

My gosh why me. When i finally meet a nice girl that i thought liked me as much as i like her. Turns out to be my mates new girlfriend.

Ive been depressed ever since. Have had nothing but a bad run with girls and i find a nice one and i got SHUT DOWN!

this sucks *******. :

Dont be too rough on yourself Thor. The "oh crap she's taken" scenario isnt too bad... Sounds like your mate saved you from a wee bit of embarassment... so take this one as a positive, consider it a practice run

Yep - I feel your pain brother....

Does she had a sister?

If anything the experience shows you've got some confidence - chicks love that, don't give up....just try again.

Years ago when Ringo was a single man I was at mate place having a jam session and someone brought along a girl for a bit of a sing.

She was quite nice, well built and we hit it off. I was thinking I had found someone worth persuring. My mate was ribbing me about it after she had left and I was saying yeah "shes nice, I'm going to ask her out, I reckon she will say yes"

My mate admited to me a week later that she had called him about something or rather and to cut a long story short ended up having a one night stand with her....hmm thanks mate.

I had the last laugh though. After the special night they had she thought they were in a relationship and let loose on him when he said he had a very different opinion. She showed her "nutter" side and was very vindictive (not without cause mind you). I wasn't mad at him after that....just very very amused and laughed everytime his phone rang and that look of "oh s--t" appeared on his face.

She is married with one last time I heard and has her man wrapped firmly around her little finger.

Hmm..

I've been in a situation where a mate broke up with his GF and I ended up with his ex.

Apparantly this is a bad move.. according to most of my friends that aren't friends anymore ;)

Same thing happend to me when I was single. I was upset about it because I liked this girl before my mate liked her. We were friends with her. When my mate went out with her I stopped liking her and they broke up. I wanted to see my chances because my mate didn't care but she didn't want to " ruin the friendship" thats a load of crap when chicks say that lol.
I moved on and now I'm with a girl thats better looking and is enemies with the chick i used to like. I don't talk to her much but when i see her we say hi to each other. She a very nice person.

I'd look at it another way thor, you've got mates that are looking out for ya. I've been down that path but no one pointed out what I didn't know. Awkward moments...

Here's an idea: get over it! There are billions of women out there!

If you're friends; that's great. If your mate is going out with her; that's great again. Be happy for him... Now all you need to do is start hanging around her friends.

Use this as a positive. Like has been said, you've got mates that look out for each other and that's lucky enough in anyone's book. And plus it was a bit of practice for chatting up women

Also, see if you can find an online version of a book called, The Game. It's a guy's Bible to picking up women - if anything it's good for a laugh! And who knows - it might just give you that extra bit of confidence or advice :P

Just be friends with her and your mate. She must have friends then you can start hanging out in a group, get to know her friends and she can put in a good word for you.

Mate, it happens when you least expect it, don't chase it or appear desperate. I had the worst luck with girls, always seemed to attract the nutters, about 2 years ago I met a girl through mutual friends and we remained distant friends. In time we got closer then 10 months ago it just happened, now I honestly couldn't be happier and we are looking at places to move in together.

The positive side in this is that at least your mate has good taste in women.

would any of use consider going out with one of your best mates sisters? i have and its been 9 months soo far. there are times that i think about what my mate must be thinking. i never go up to chicks they either come upto me or ask a mate to tell me. i cant just approach a girl randomly and start a convo with her. some people have a real phobia about it just the thought of being shut down but once it happens a few times u get used to it.

lol my friends group is so full of dramas.. all the girls in the group and me are "friends with benifits", but that comes with dramas as! haha.. its so annoying but fun at the same time lol..

i really dig one of them but, we hook up and everything often, but we could never work going out, 2 different views on what we want out of a relationship.. but sigh..

Well.. if one of my mates wanted to date my sister, id be ok with it, as long as he doesnt hurt her.. plus i wouldnt want to hear any stories or see anything, becuase thatd just be messed up and weird lol..

one of my friends started dating another mates brother, he was mad weired out by it but didnt stand in their way.. plus he doesnt like her anymore anyway so its not really a "mate dating his brother" lol..

if your thinking of it, i guess all you can do is some how talk to your mate about it and work out something, if he is a good mate he'll be understanding about it..

i cant just approach girls and start talking to them, but if im introduced or whatever i can start working from there...

In the grand scheme of things, engaging in sexual intercourse really isn't the most important thing in the world.

Sex is pointless if the person you're pleasuring doesn't mean a hell of a lot to you.

I'll never do that again.
