Default The Minginator

Was just hoping for an update on this car. I followed the first build thread way back when Herrods first did it, but what has happened since? I vaguely recall the EPA sending it to the sin bin, and I have sussed its now in the capable hands of RDP, can Gary or anyone else fill in the blanks? What's the future hold for this thing? It's an awesome car

At least point me to a thread or two if this has been covered before

thanks

Maybe getting a nice blue plate done there as well? That would make a great addition to the car.

Yup

She is up at Steve's at the moment having some tweaks implemented. Seat moved back a full 2 inches and maybe some fancy registration processing

Would love to see her back for the FPV day but that may be a tad over enthusiastic.

Last run was a 14.3 :togo: , previous 11.92 , both with tunes limited to 5000.

Looking forward to the final result with no limiter

So Gary drove bacvk empty trailered from QLD then.
Interesting to see the final results though.

Still looked fast on the back of the trailer.
And the amazing sound it made on the Monaro ad is even better

Thanks for the update. I wont ask why it isnt still being worked on in Vic, unless Gary wants to share?

Im sure it's in more than capable hands though. Will it be an attraction at the RPD opening day?

Laminge owns the toughest TS50 in the world...LOL

From what I remember its a nascar block, supercharged with alot of other bits and pieces. Getting it legal and so it doesn't self destruct seems to be an issue.

I hope the Mingenator gets up and going and gives you some joy Gary! I think that a lot of people would love to see it running well, after the dramas you have had with it. Im looking forward to it, thats for sure!

Have you actually driven it mate ? This car was a huge anti-climax, the old thread just faded to nothing and nobody ever heard anything more about it.

Did you get your box/diff sorted in the end ?

How did it run a 14? Traction issues?

Just curious cos with all that work done it seems upsetting in comparison to some of the times other T3 owners brag about on here..

Was sitting in a workshop in Melbourne for a while ... something to do with gaskets blowing out under boost ... think it was the headgaskets ... and the head bolts were stretching as well.

This is just going off vague memories of old threads I read a LONG time ago.
