Default under bonnet tidy up

today I started to tidy up the engine bay in my el to try make it a little bit better to look at then the standard el engine bay. With only doing visual changes under the bonnet ( no blowers, turbos ect) is there much else I could do. I am also thinking of doing some of the interior peices in the same way. here is a pic, any thought would be good.

P.S. I also painted the grille silver

Doesn't look too bad at all mate.

Personally I prefer the clean stock kind of look, but if you're happy that's great.

The blue was meant to be darker more like the body colour. As for the air box being all blue, I am planning on putting stickers of clubs and accessories on there plus painting the EEC-v logo silver and gold

I think the blue and gold came up well, especially on the head!!

What kind of paint did you use to paint it? Has it been on for long, any cracking or flaking?

Was only done today. I only used the cheap export paint from supercheap and some plastic primer for the plastic bits. I had done the rocker cover on my old eb in a similar way using the same paint and never had a problem with it. As for the plastics I will see how it goes, but the biggest pain in the **** was sanding everything

I think you should have slaped a turbo on instead.

If you wanted the blue to match the car, buy the cans that are made in the factory colours. Don't think super cheap have them but most other auto stores do.
You probably didn't have to sand everything. Paint longevity should be ok with the primer/paint combo. effect of engine heat will be the biggest issue on the paint. Could also give it a few fine clear coats as this will add a scratch barrier to the paint (as the clear scratches, not the colour, easy to lightly sand back if it does get scratched.)
