Default Which EL's got black B pillars?

as the title asks, which EL's got black B pillars? are they a standard item or aftermarket? i've seen quite a few, seems to be EL's getting around with these stick on black/dark grey B pillars.
just wondering whats the go with them and where do you get them from?

cheers

im not sure which models had them, but yes they're clip on b pillar trims....you should be able to get them from ford.....
you'll have to paint the visible paint around that section on the B pillar itself otherwise it sticks out

NZ has them on his EB......they look pretty good

lol.......on my fairlane, the grey parts of the bumpers, door handles and the b pillars were fading as they all do....
so i masked it all up and hit it all with some gunmetal paint from a preasurepack can....
looks pretty good for the little effort, and it was next to free...

I think on EL Fairmonts and XRs they have the black trims on the B-pillars.

EA1's also had black B-pillars but they were just a sticker

i used black contact. straight from the art supply room at uni. to replace the exhisting lot which had been damaged by the sun. save ur money, 2 layers of black contact, and then if it gets damaged, it will cost u all of about 5 bucks to redo it.

hard to see in this pic, but it looks just the same

cheers dan

damn good idea!

got a close up of the contact?

I have them from factory on my EL and the sun gets to them - I maintain them by spraying a bit of armor all on top...lasts about a month then it starts to fade again to a matt black. shinny black looks so much better!

Is the trim detailer in the aerosol can the one you use? I found that one, was hoping it was also available in a trigger bottle.

Nah Trim Detailer is a Gold Class product, comes in a black bottle with a cap top. You can get Rubber and Vinyl Protectant from Megs though, red trigger bottle.
