Internet Explorer can FTP as well - just stick ftp:// in rather than http:// ...
You can also ftp://user:password@site.name.com.au ... |

leechftp is my weapon of choice.
IE Ftp is prone to all sorts of wierdness. |

FireFTP if your a firefox user, its a bit of a pain in the *** though.

www.smartftp.com is free, the simplest and in my opinion the best ftp program.
