Default The Ariel Atom

Next time you think you may need a motorcycle to give you that open road thrill, have a look at this baby!

http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/

It raced on a closed circuit against a Honda CBR600RR & completely destroyed it...

Absolutely, but I think the scary thing is that it is classed as a road vehicle, not a race car. People actually drive these things everyday! The front nose cone actually houses a small storage compartment.

"Top Gear" (television program in the UK) has rated this car 2nd on it's greatest cars ever list, just beaten by the Ferrari Enzo!

Another scary thing, if you could change gear quick enough, it's capable of reaching 100kph in 2.65 seconds!!!

No worries!

Yeah it's a cool show, they also compared a BMW 1 against a Ford Focus Zetec. They didn't race them, just compared all the features, quality of build & craftsmanship & costs.

Well, something happened I didn't really expect, they said that the Focus won hands down. The consensus was that the most expensive feature of the BMW was the badge...

It would appear that this car is available as a legal road car in NZ just as in the UK, in Oz it is currently only allowed for track use.
Check this out

Our rules aren't as uptight as Aus. You should see some of the mad Jap imports, V6 Mirage anyone? The Jap home market has got some out there cars.
