hey guys,
ever since doing a disk frag, my computer turns off, at any rendom time, for no apparent reason, now i pulled all the power cables out, and plugged them all abck in firmly so its not the problem at all....so what is the problem ???? |

what Operating System what brand if any HP, IBM, Toshiba, Sony <- all of these are your problem what did u recently do to it, installed dodgy software, installed a 7 disk program and it glitched.....etc who else uses it check your settings, power settings, not sure if ill ask u to check ur hardware settings im not paying for it! check your power points with something else like a TV or something big and sucks power - do at own risk richie |

yep good advice there, i would be swapping power points / double adapter,power board before replacing anything then see how it goes, could be anything check the easy stuff first check cables are in properly,etc etc goodluck

If you've never defragged ever sometimes it can upset all sorts of routines. I've only encountered it a few times; but just restarting the computer helps.

also could be getting too hot ?? check heat sinks arent clogged with dust.
But being winter it should be a little cooler, my cpu idles about 7 degrees cooler than 3 months ago
