I make the meanest mushroom sauce for my steak. But, you didn't make that an option. So jam it!

You're all wrong!

What you need to do is get a cup, put about 3 scoops of traditianal greek yogurt in, get one clove of garlic, crush it, put that in, mix it, and slowly squeeze some lemon into it. When you think it's thin enough put it over your steak.

Bloody beautiful.

Yep, creamy mushroom sauce. The only way to have it. We make a version with cream and fresh mushrooms - you could drink that stuff.

Now I'm hungrier than what I was, thanks.

There's a gem that starts with H. But I chose Pepper from the list, although there are a few other sauces I don't mind - bacon and mushroom etc.

I like my steak in the buff. No sauce. I like it cooked that way too - blue rare.

If it is a 'cheaper' piece of meat or perhaps a little dry, leave it in some red wine for about 1 hour (in the fridge) before cooking. Then remove from the fridge, allow to get to room temperature. Pre-heat an oven to about 180C, get your pan hot too, sear the steak both sides just enough to seal it, and then bang it in the oven for no more than 5 minutes.

In that 5 minutes, then grill some asparagus, perhaps some scalloped potatoes, and use a small amount of olive oil.

Then serve on a warmed plate with a glass of red wine that you used to soak the steak in.

my two favourites arent on the list.

Hollandaise, with a few prawns thrown in, and hot english mustard(hotter the better)

helps if the steak is bleu as well. If you want something well done, book yourself a cremation I say.
