Default PC game: GT Legends

Just bought this game yesterday and so far I must say its pretty good. Nice handling and lots of awesome cars. I'm yet to unlock the good cars so at the moment I'm stuck with the Lotus Cortina and a Mini Cooper S but still fun nontheless.

Anyone else got this game?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that, yes, there is a Falcon in it. It looks like a 2-door late 60s Falcon, though. This game should have an XY GT in it .

Finally got a cheat to unlock all the cars and I've had the pleasure of taking the Falcon coupe out for a spin... wow. Man that car sounds AWESOME.

I've been playing GTL for months now its awesome. I decided NOT to use any cheats, as it is SO realistic I wanted to persevere through the career mode. Having completed all that, my weapon of choice is either a Ford GT40 for a spirited cruise, or a yellow DeTomaso Pantera if I want to really flog.

The DeTomaso Pantera wins the chocolates... wow that car is FAST.

Awesome! Out of curiosity, how do people go about making cars for GTL?

The full version was rolled out in different markets at different times - like USA only just got it recently - I wasn't aware it was available in Australia yet; maybe I'll stop there...

How to make cars for GTL? Well you see, F1-2002 was completely open-code, and SinBin learnt as did I using that program as a base. They released a GTR patch (and there were many others) with unique cars, tracks, etc. Strapped for time, I only managed to modify spec pages to adjust power outputs, and I made one Viper AWD and another FWD to see just how good the simulation-engine really is. It was awesome.
GTL is in fact the most secure game to date, and overcoming the copywrite protection so that I can play from an image took me nearly two weeks to figure out. Fundamentally, the cars and tracks are created in the same way as F1-2002, made up of a number of components with certain labels assigning them particular properties. The "engine" around which the game is built is the same, though more advanced, so the same philosophy will apply. However, you must first find/create programs to dissassemble the car files into all their appropriate components; from multiple 3-D mesh files which can be edited with 3DSMax or Z-Mod (with suitable plug-ins), to multiple image files generally 1600x1200 resolution, edited in Photoshop - and then various text files with information about the car's geometery, gearing, power and torque curves, aero data, all the equations effecting consumption, speed, cornering, temperatures, the works. Everything the system or "game engine" needs.

So to "make" cars from fresh, you must first figure out what all the components the game requires are, then simply make them. 3-D meshes with all the parts labelled correctly, texture files (using photos where possible), and text files - about 30 different objects really, all labelled just right. Then use a special compiller to put it all together into a file the game can read, and hey presto you now have a new car!! It is quite simple, but definately not easy or quick. Very painstaiking and stressful.

Yeah its not as simple as it should be. I made Valiants for NFS High Stakes back when that was cool. I pretty much had a base for every model and spec, but never finished the entire set. Finished up completing my CM Regal with full working 3D interior (which changed colour too depending on what colour trim the car had relative to exterior colours); and a couple of others without dashes, form memory most of the VH Valiant/Charger/Regal/Pacer and CH Chrysler by Chrysler LWB hardtop and sedan, but given how lame the hole thing was I'm kinda glad I lost interest in heindsight...!!
