Default A Ricers Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and caught at the light,
Was a domestic V8 and no cops in sight,
I will try, I will try, I will try with this small motor,
To beat this dang Charger, even with it's big blower,
As light goes green and I pull like no joke,
The Charger erupts in clouds of tire smoke,
Now Smasher, now Rev-ver, now Stroker, now Blitzin,
These are the names of my four VTEC pistons,
Racing ahead I'm the Star of the action,
But I know I'm in trouble when that V8 gets traction,
Grabbing second, I hear the RPM sing, My mirror is blocked by my Shopping Kart Wing,
I now hear the roar, of that big monster gaining,
All I can do is keep that four-banger straining,
In a second, the shockwave hits with a blast,
And my stickers go flying now,
a thing of the past,
Don't bother with third, cause now it's too late,
Just try to act cool, like you can relate,
Looking up at the taillights as they get smaller,
The driver backs off just to give me a holler,
"You can't win them all," he says in fling,
"You may not win any," in that silly thing,
I smiled and revved as he pulled out of sight,
With my new mods tomorrow...it will be a better night.

Implied is a VTEC engine and considering their peak power is at 8000rpm i dont see how it would be straining. Revs cleanly. Thats what the whole hype behind it is.

So whilst funny there is no way a VTEC engine strains.

I think you have missed the point.......
Maybe it was pulling 9500rpm?
maybe it was straining to keep up?
Maybe the dikhead ricer thought that because he had VTEC stickers on his lancer he actually had a VTEC engine?

Or maybe it was the Ralliart badges which magically turned it into an Evo.

Since when do people race on a hill lol? My car makes it up hills no problems anyways with 87kw@4700rpm and 178nm so i dont see how a VTEC wouldnt especially being lighter and all.

Anyone whos ever driver a TX5 would note how torquey the engine is. Everyone whos driver my car has picked up that particular point.

Yes i know it isnt anything special and to everyone here who is in love with the I6s and V8s it doesnt compare. You see the difference is this engine is 2.2l not a 4l or 5.4l.

So Hillclimbs are a test of Gallantry? : Dont get out much, do you?

Take the buzztec out of the magazine specs and the zip dashes and and see how they get on against the big bangers with room to move.

Dude there was traffic lights in the joke. Thats either street racing or at a drag race not hillclimbing. Ive seen plenty of 4cyls hand the muscle their ***** with a lot less power and torque.

This is almost pitiful to watch now. Mitchay, I was once told to never battle from a weak position. Currently your position resembles Custer and quicksand.

In the real world it has plenty of times. But obviously if you believe that its not possible at all then ill leave you with that belief.

Not in here I'm not.. Moderation has nothing to do with vigorous arguement! Only bad, rude or unkind behavior. No-one has ever been kicked for being wrong.

Except you always pay out on people for having differing views that arent your own. Pretty poor form when i havent payed out on anythn. I didnt say muscle was crap at all cos i like it aswell but im saying that the view that 4cyls are slow all in all is just plain wrong.
