Default Accomodation near WSID

Can anyone recommend any accom near WSID for me? They have deleted the link when changing their website. Going up for the East Coast Nats next month. Thanks Darren

There's a motel in Minchinbury, just near WSID. Follow the Great Western Highway towards Penrith, pass Wallgrove Road, then there's a petrol station and a sign to turn left to go to the Pinegrove Cemetary. Down the road a bit further there's a set of lights, with a left turn into Minchinbury. The motel is right near those lights. Closest place to WSID I can think of.

Voyager Motel
836 Great Western Highyway, Minchinbury
Ph: 02 9625 9902

I'm not sure if thats the one, but its the only motel I could find details on in Minchinbury. If I drive past the place some time soon, I'll make sure to get details.

Its not exactly close. 10 - 15km away I'd say, approx. I'd go more for the Eastern Creek, Blacktown, Doonside, Rooty Hill etc area then Westmead.

getting to wsid from westmead is not that quick, even at midnight( no cars) still takes about 20 mins. And traffic around there isn't nice, i work near there and live in st clair so i do a similar drive a few times a week.

Have gone with the one at Westmead as couldnt find one any closer that had kitchen facilities. Most are just room with tea/coffee facilities but nothing else. Gotta say caravan parks up there are damn expensive $188/ night for a cabin is a bit rich for me. One we stay in near Heathcote is $75/ night

Thanks mate, have already paid for the other one. Hopefully wont be too bad travel wise, as well be spending most of the time at the track shouldnt be too much of a hassle anyway.

Gidday Mark,

I have tickets for Sat and Sunday in the seating area. I will keep an eye out for you.
Spotting a particular car (non-racing) at WSID for a big meet is virtually impossible.
Hope to catch up with you again.

Regards,

Chris

You can upgrade a standard ticket to reserved seating for $10 a day.

They used to offer a whole event pass (3 day) for a better rate but now it appears they are getting too money hungry to do this. Normally I would have had Friday off work and gone to the whole event, but now they have priced themselves out of the market, for this.

Last year I had a whole season pass, which ran out in Feb. Six months, several emails and phone calls later, they are still not interested in taking my money. : : :
