Congratulations! Hope Mom and Baby are doing well (and you too).

Do you know how many hours of sleep per night you're getting? Now half that.. cause that's how it's going to be for the next couple of years at least.

Haha...famous last words. I had a 5 year plan and was pregnant after 3 months of marriage. Should have told him to get off.

Congratulations. WOW, he's a tall one. Hope you are all well. I won't just say mum and bubs, as the dad's are the forgotten species in the birth experience. I'm sure it was just as draining emotionally for you as for your partner. Enjoy you new journey as a dad!

Not necessarily lol. My 2½ y/o has been a 10-14hr sleeper since approx 7months of age. I have had the best luck with her when it comes to sleep. Although I'm very strict on teaching sleeping patterns from very early on. And I don't believe in being quiet around a sleeping baby either. My 3 learnt to sleep with all sorts of noise around them.

My other 2 (who are now 15 & 13) were also excellent sleepers and at this age are in bed with lights out by 9pm no if's and's or but's! My kids very rarely went through changed sleeping patterns due to me being a sleep Nazi lol.

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to you neil101. I hope mum and bub are doing well. He's a beautiful boy!!

Hearty Congrats on the new addition, Conner.
Do hope he and mum are well.
I'm the old fart with 3 teenage daughters, a son would have been great but all I really wanted was that they were healthy and that mum didn't suffer too much. Enjoy all the time you can spend with him as they sure grow up too quickly.

Being a dad will open your heart to the wonders of fatherhood.

Again, enjoy the gift of life.

Congrats Neil! Connor certainly is a big healthy boy, isnt he?! He is nearly as big as my son - he was 10 pound 5 and 57cm long with a 38cm head (that is the bit that the Mums remember). My son is now nearly 8 and he is not far off 5 foot and 40kgs and plays in the ruck in footy! And he eats me out of house and home so be warned! Hehe.

Hope Mum and Dad and baby are all going well.

As for the Ford car seats, we want one too and we started a thread on it but it seems as though they may have made them and stopped. But the other day we were in Kmart and saw an Aunger one which was black and Ford blue with a blue harness. Could just replace the Aunger oval on the back with a Ford one and BINGO! Looked like a good seat too - wasnt cheap but.

Anyways, there is heaps of other Ford and FPV baby gear around - bibs, baby suits, hats etc... you will have to get him in some and post some pics! My boyfriend saw a bib a while back that said "Im a driver, not a dribbler!" which I thought was funny!

Best of luck mate, enjoy him while he is young!

Jac and Eamon

Yeah I know what you mean I stopped having kids because:

a) any more than 3 and I'd have to buy a van or a wagon with a dickie seat (ugh) and
b) the next one was likely to be so big I'd end up on Today Tonight lol

First one was 8 pound 1, the next 10 pound 2, then the last one was 10 pound 13 and she took out the honour of being the biggest baby born at that hospital in 1996.

And I am glad I stopped at 3. Neil, this is an important story to remember. Nobody told me what they meant when they say kids are expensive. When mine were babies, even with nappies and formula and food etc, they aren't too bad and you manage. And your rellies and friends pitch in and buy clothes and toys cos they just can't help themselves (cos your kids are super cute).

Then they hit around the late primary school years and the food bills soar, the shoe bills send you to the boss for a raise, and the medical bills make private health cover seem like a good idea. And the help from the family and friends is gone because someone ELSE has little ones that need their help.

And my kids are only 13, 12 and 9... I'm worried about their teenage years. Middle child is already begging for Roxy this and Von Dutch that. GRRRRRRRRR!

Good luck!

C'mon Bindi. Don't scare poor Neil just yet....give him a couple of weeks to settle in...

It is all worth it in the end. They leave home, have their own children, whom you can spoil until they become so obnoxious that it makes you want to : and then you can sit back and have a good
