Just wishing the Americans a happy Independence Day.
God bless the Yanks, the most important nation to Australia, and our number 1 Allies, and before anyone starts bashing the Yanks remember they brought us the Fords.
Cheers John

They annoy the out of me, but yeh I'm glad they were around in WWII etc, let them celebrate this day and pat themselves on the back, I guess I prefer them to be running the show than Russia or China.

The same day I bought the EB three years ago. That's the only reason I remember it.

I think its fantastic how they celebrate it. Maybe we should look at Australia day in a similar way rather than just a goof off from work day.

And yeah, I'd rather put up with the Yanks celebrating Independence Day than being forced to celebrate "Communism Day" or "Susuhimikinowa Holiday" or whatever. (yes, I made that last one up)

LOL to be honest I knew that but i didnt type it cos i thought by the time everybody worked out what i meant, it would have lost its comic value.

I just love how he says "Im sorry but in this state the sale of fireworks are stricly prohib.............come with meeeeeeeeeeee":

I dont understand why you would care really?

So a pointless thread gets a pointless post; and the world keeps on spinning just fine.

I must of missed the bit when your input won the exclusive Post of the year award.

Australia Day is good because we get the day off; and thats about it. Australians will never be "patrotic/extremist" (sp?) like americans, reality is there are more important things to do; or not do.
