I disagree with saturating the callipers and brake hoses as shown on the video.
I would never apply brake cleaner on rubber seals and hoses.
It is petroleum based and it will damage them over time..
It's a good value for the price though...

Serious question: What is the practical difference between this and basic degreaser (which sells for a fraction of the cost)
This product seems to have added isopropyl alcohol, but not sure what difference that makes.

The thing I liked about these particular bendix ones is the pressure.
It really gives it a good clean and lifts up the dust without the need to brush anything.

Yeah, it's a stronger solvent with a non greasy residue, that's all. I don't know why you're comparing it to degreaser as they do different jobs. Brake cleaner has never been that useful to me as the solvent dries so quick you don't get much work time on really dirty stuff. I bought it to clean brakes and new rotors last year and for the caked on old dust it wasn't any good as it dried too fast to clean off old baked on stuff anyway.

For cleaning oil and grease regular degreaser is better. To clean anything else acetone or enamel thinners is better (but they dry up real quick too just like brake cleaner).
To clean the inside edges of my 30 year old neglected wheels when brake cleaner failed (because it dried so quick) to get old brake dust off I used abrasive sponges/blocks/brushes

A little off topic but on the degreaser side. I found a degreaser I used to use at Woolies the other day.

The last time a saw it was at the Reject/$2 shop. It cleaned my Oiler better than anything from super cheap. It still has that caustic burn your nostril hairs off effect and foams up well unlike most of the others.

Because its basic ingredient is the same: Mineral Solvents
The main difference is that they have added isopropyl alcohol to the brake cleaner to make it mix better with water.
