Default GT Mustang highway patrol

Thought this was a dead end.....
But on the way back to my workshop 4.00pm in M5 sydney traffic heading west was a GT Mustang with all the Police kit.. Thought this was a non starter.

Sorry, No picture, I was driving and couldn't take a pic.
Wow!it looked the goods though.

I thought the story on the mustang tested was a firfy.

A dealer car with no police pack driven until it broke.

If Ford want to produce a Police pack, it might be possible ?

I couldn't imagine they'd have written the car off with one break down.

Drove Brisbane to Queanbeyan and back again last weekend and only saw one Mustang the whole time. Wasn't this one!

Maybe I should have stopped for a pie too.

Think you'll find that this HWP154 is not an active HWP car, same as the other cars that get done up in police badging.
Pure PR car only.

The mustang failed the police HWP testing, so it's a non starter.

and here's the same car without lightbar. Different number though, but same numberplates.

and for those doubting it:

note the HWP150 on the PR GT.

I've seen a bright yellow Mustang on Silverwater Rd twice in the last few months- full police kit-out.

Ford won't offer a police pack for the US Mustang, so it's doubtful they'll offer one for Australia.

I've heard that Ford offered the Police upgraded Auto and cooling kit Guaranteeing them it will work.
Apparently 30 were ordered.

What did it fail that made it no good as a HWP car?

Not being an active HWP car means you could run him at the lights and he would have no power to pull you over ? . But the buggers are getting sneaky now, seen someone pulled up by an unmarked Amarok in melbourne. If an Amarok were on my tail with flashin lights, would treat him like a fake imposter wanting to carjack me and lose him

I'd heard that the NSW Highway Patrol were looking to buy 40 but it all fell through when the auto went into limp mode.

Car was recently at Sinclair Ford having the peace of mind service.

I heard ford are bringing them with higher seats and pedal extensions because the police have lowered the height restrictions and are now recruiting pygmies.
