Many times I have had different assortment of loan vehicles, quite good actually as it gives you an idea what these new vehicles are like when driven for a day or two.

The GOOD Vs BAD
After having both our vehicles serviced at the local dealer for some time we never seemed to be able to score a loan vehicle Went elsewhere today and was presented with a new Territory, 1,200 klm. Got to say it wasn't a bad drive, a little bit low in first for me, but all in all, nice. The presentation on the other hand It was that bad that I had to pull over and wipe the side mirrors so I could see for fear of wiping out someone Hadn't been washed since built, still had all the crayon marks inside the door jambs, all sorts of marks on the inside/outside of the windscreen, dog hair all thru the passenger side and general leaf/dirt on the floors ! So, I took an hour to wash it and clean the windscreen, nothing was mentioned (yet) about it being clean on return....... Maybe next time I will get something a little better

I've never had trouble getting a loan/courtesy car from Sinclair Ford if I need one.
Always well presented but recently I had 2 Mondeo's; 1 was very clean and tidy and the other very dirty. I didn't have time to clean it; I'm a bit like you Mowdit!

I've had loan cars many times, some XR6's, a few Mondeo's, a couple of Focii, a smattering of BMW X3's and an E-Class Benz.

It is not about how long the service is it is about when they can actually slot it in between all the others that are being serviced, dealer will try to do it at a time slot for customer if requested. Cheers. |

My Ford dealer lent me a near new Kia while my Territory was being repaired, very informal arrangement it was, "here's the keys, see ya later". Was quite impressed with it, a huge improvement over the old Carnival I sometimes drive for the local council.

I decided to take mine to the dealer for a change and booked in to get a loan car for the day. The service ended up taking a couple of days and they let me keep the car until it was done.
I got a brand spanking new Ecoboost Kuga with 16km on the clock. I hated it. They didn't leave the manual in the glovebox, so it took me forever to work out how to do heaps of things. I can see why people like them, but if I'm going to drive something that sits that high, I want it to have proper 4WD and be at least moderately capable off road. Basically, I got a nice enough car, but I was really not going to be convinced to trade in the wagon by it. |

Mine is a work vehicle......... On the dealer website they offer/promise 1 hour services Most times I drop it off before 8am, get promises but no call before 2:30 for "after" 3pm pick up. No loan car even though requested weeks in advance Seriously thought about the PX2, spent $50k on a tractor instead

I could have had a free loan car when I took the G6E in for a service. They had a small fleet of Focuses sitting in the yard waiting to go.
I was tempted, but heck, it was just a Focus, and then I would have been paying for CBD parking. Courtesy bus that dropped me off and picked me up right outside my building was the better option. The gf took her A1 in for a service and they gave her an A3. She thought it was a great car, but was too afraid of damaging it. Mind you, she was the same with her A1 for the first few months. Always had me drive it. |

Many moons ago I bought a new EF Classic. Took to the dealer for the first service and they offered us a Nissan Micra loaner. Old mate was a bit embarrased when he saw 2 adults & 3 kids waiting. He said sorry that is all they had. It was a bit squeezy but got us around for the day. Jumped back into the EF and it felt like a Hummer for a while.

Have has several and they always been great cars.
Had a FPV Force 6 for a week while some warranty work was being carried out on one of my new cars. And more recently had a brand new Honda CRV for around 6 weeks while our H3 was off the road for a recall and warranty work.

If you are not happy with the free loan car, you could always seek alternative transportation!

Yes and yes.
It's a great opportunity to sample what Ford has on offer. Off the top of my head, I've had the following as loan cars: LR Focus LS Focus LT Focus LV Focus LW Focus LWII Focus WT Fiesta SX Territory SZII Territory TDCi BAII Falcon FG Falcon FGX XR6 TF Kuga TFII Kuga TDCi This is one of the reasons why my cars go back to the dealer for servicing.

I am driving a loan Kuga today, I have had a Focus as well for about 6 days when the diff was getting rebuilt under warranty (FG XR6T). Fixed price service and a loan car too is awesome!

There were light swirls in the paintwork and one of the number plate screws had slight surface rust. I lost it at the service manager and vowed never to get my car serviced at Ford again. |

Back when we bought the G6E brand new, they forgot to fit the towbar. Yes, honestly .
When we took it back they gave us a loan car we hadn't even thought of test driving...a Mondeo in turbo diesel and auto. After a morning with that we were honestly wondering if they'd take back the Falcon and give us a specced up one of those... |

I was very happy to get a Ranger Ute but had to reserve it a few weeks ahead. Car was filthy but useful as I was able to take a full load of rubbish to the tip and then picked up 4 bags of insulation batts from Bunnings. I did give it a quick high pressure hose wash and put $10 of diesel in before giving it back.
