BREAKING NEWS: IF you are motoring enthusiast or fan of Top Gear, one of the world's most popular television shows, then get excited.
Rumour has it that Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson is heading to Warwick's Morgan Park to film a segment for an upcoming episode. We are still trying to uncover all the details so watch this space for more information http://www.themorningbulletin.com.au...-park/2034279/ THE world’s most popular TV show, Top Gear, has been turned away by the Gold Coast because of noisy car concerns. Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson wanted to come to the Coast next week to film a new Microsoft Xbox-sponsored V8 Supercar at the Holden Driving Centre at Norwell, in a deal brokered by racing legend Mark Skaife. But Gold Coast City Council bureaucrats put the brakes on the show, watched by an estimated 350 million people in 170 countries, when they failed to relax noise restrictions in time. Top Gear will now film in Warwick — a nice place but hardly Australia’s tourism capital. The council snub has angered driving centre boss Paul Morris, who said the Coast had lost the chance for ‘priceless publicity’. “It’s an unbelievable lost opportunity,’’ Mr Morris, a racing car driver and team owner said http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/q...-1226727861649

Fact: Top Gear to film a segment at Bathurst during this year's Super Cheap Auto 1000
Check out the Thursday schedule for Bathurst: http://d508o84lonf06.cloudfront.net/...d-17.9.131.pdf When I first saw this I wasn't sure whether it was the Top Gear UK show or something for the local magazine, but with the news from Qld and Jeremy confirming via twitter that they have started filming for the next series, it all makes sense... |

Doesn't stop them spending like it's going out of fashion. Good old GM, spend spend spend your way to bankruptcy.

True. But if you continually spend more than what you make how smart is it?

The noise retstrictions were bought in at Norwell earlier this year after the owner let a V8 supercar on the track out of hours. The council responded to complaints. He knew the rules after plenty of complaints over the years.
The noise limit is now 85 decibels. So even a road car is over the limit. I like the fact they are doing it at Warwick instead of the race track that exists in Brisbane. That must suggest something. Time for a new Motorsport facility in Brisbane? |

Now that these noisy cars have been seen off, the Gold Coast is practically crime free

Unbelieveable how stupid some councils can be. Bad luck you miss out on some serious tourism dollars now.
