Arrow XR5 front brakes into Zetec 2.0

Hey everyone,

I've got a August built 2005 Focus Zetec 2.0 duratec and its time for the front brakes to receive some loving. I was curious to know if there is much involved in swapping the zetec calipers and rotors out for XR5 Turbo ones.

Has anyone done this ?
Is it worth it ?
Anyone got some for sale ?

I've been told that I may have to change master cylinder to the Xr5 one aswell.

Thanks in advance.

You might want to consider whether the caliper mounting bracket is the same for XR5 vs non-XR5

Sounds like a plan. I'll be sure to do a proper write up when I do.

The only issue you make have is you may need new wheels if your rims don't fit over the calipers.

18" XR5 T rims will sort that out

I've got the 17" zectec alloys, hopefully they should clear the calipers.
If not its an excuse for Xr5T wheels.

There's usually a set or 2 floating around on fleabay - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/18-WHEELS...-/130987231084

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-FOCU...-/121174782770

You can expect to pay around $800 for a decent set of 4

Brenx, if you haven't already, have a look on the XR5Turbo forum that's where I picked up the set for my Zetec

The problem is you can get non gen wheels easy but there are differences between ls, lt and lv. We have an ls and lv xr5's. Non gens are known as snowfakes.
