These are the two ETs from the Friday night qualifying runs at the Motorplex in Lindsay's (TEL408) Telstar.
Check the ETs of both runs, then check the MPH. Then take a look at how close the 60 foot times and others are. Oh, and the class is listed incorrectly. It is SS/A.

It WAS a great bracket car until it threw a rod in the first elimination pass. :(

When the engine is pulled and disassembled, I'll post up what the findings are.
So far it doesn't look too good.

Engine stripped. The pics say it all...... :-[
What's left of number five rod and piston. Crank is stuffed. You can see how much damage it suffered. Where all the rest of the motor is! Oil pump cut off at the neck. Other half of the pump. Bottom of number five bore. Most bores got damaged. Part of number five rod cap and bolt. Other damaged rods and pistons. Not really sure if it spun a bearing, or broke a rod bolt, but the crank, rods, pistons, block are stuffed. Cam and valve train seem to be all good, slight damage to number five chamber as the piston came up, and slightly touched it.

It's anybody's guess, but looking at the crank and rod cap, it got pretty damn hot. I'd say probably a spun or locked bearing.
