Its an improvement for sure, but I dont like any site that has a video that automatically loads up at the start.

Actually I just did … and they guys at work all commented the following … “mate why are you checking out such bogan cars LOL“

Anyways I don’t like sites that make you wait for a video to load on a front page as well … instead they should have used an interactive rotating image to better present their various product offerings …

Lastly I thought FPV got rid of the pensioner and got that soccer player to promote their brand?

Wow. All of them said that?
What do they say when they see you posting on this site with so many other "bogans"?

They never said anything about getting rid of Alan Moffat.

The site seems to scale wrong on my PC. Its all on the left hand side of the screen and is as slow as a wet week. Could this be from the number of people lookig at it?

Seems like all the Tickford references are gone from the history, shame really they did make 2 of the GT's.

The fact that the history is now very 'condensed' is a bit disappointing and the whole feel of the site to me is a little cheap and videogameish. Probably not good when youre trying to sell 60k+ cars.

They need to put the prices back on it.

I used that feature extensively when I was researching buying my FPVs and other Ford cars as to what was in my budget.

Going to a dealer is pointless as they will get bored rather quickly and will tend to try and push you towards what they have in stock or know is arriving shortly.

The new site is definitely an improvement on the old one.

However, it's still nowhere near as good as the HSV website.

Just went to the HSV web site and if the requirement is to actually find specifications, prices and model differentiation then it is no better than FPV at all in fact it is a bit too "blingy" for me.

If, on the other hand, the requirement is to drool and dribble on fruit break at school then the HSV one is far superior.

One thing I did learn is that HSV sell genuine upgrades and bling for many different lower Holden models even down to Barina Spark.

As opposed to the primary source for FPV upgrades/bling for lower models.....ebay.....

Do they sell factory performance upgrades too?

Ford UK sells Mountune Performance exhausts and tuning packages which are covered by factory warranty through their dealership network, Ford NZ does too for the Fiesta, but Ford AU wants nothing to do with it.

there is too much empty real estate to the right of the page...makes it feel really cheap. Video loading is a bad idea...but i guess in this day and age with speedy connections it wont be much of an issue.

"give it a rev" function is really fun.

Compared to the HSV website, fpv needs a bit of work. HSV just feels and looks more professional.

HSV have a lot more support and backing so you'd expect there stuff to be more professional... It's better then some sites though, there's done they font even have a colour choice section, I think it's Suzuki?

Good idea, it would be better if it

a) worked.

b) assuming it worked, that it had pricing (though you can thank the ACCC/Govt for the removal of pricing from almost every automotive website.)

c) Had the pictures matching the models.

Most of us can only dream of having the driving skill of that pensioner as you call him.

Careful you'll get old too.

I noticed today that both the GS web gallery and the sales brochure feature an interior shot with the premium audio shown, but neither have a disclaimer to say its optional. I thought they had to spell those kind of things out. They use to in years gone by.

Noticed it worked well with explorer but not so well with Firefox browers.

Cheers, Gotta say i am not impressed with the site at all. $80,000+ cars advertised on a $500 website simply doesn't cut it for a manufacturer who is trying to present a quality image.

I know these are mostly prestige cars but this is a dealer and the website oozes quality by comparison

I think it looks ok for they demographic they're pitching at.

The Barbagello site is aimed at a different audience, most likely funded or subsidized by the manufacturers in some way too...
