Default Germany, loose truck tyre impacts Audi; pic

Alerted by a mate on FB, thought it worth posting here. Damage is interesting.
Quote:
A truck tyre came adrift on the B1 on Friday afternoon and damaged an oncoming Audi. The Audi is a write-off but the driver got off with only slight injuries and was released from the clinic in Detmold after treatment.
You can enlarge the picture - do so:-)

Hmm thats not a big truck wheel maybe off of a 10tonner?Also it looks a little bald.
But what it did to the car is unreal remind me to never buy an Audi if they're that fragile.

What a stupid comment.
ANY car would look the same if it was hit by a truck tyre in that spot.

Years ago the spare tyre from a tip truck broke loose and crashed into a car killing the driver just outside of town here. It wasnt pretty at all

Agreed, it'd be like hitting a light post at speed, except the front/engine (i.e. crumple zones) wasn't there to absorb impact.

Mein Gott! Very lucky to get out of that one.

Even more brutal than when Lowndes's car copped the tyre at Bathurst in 05?
