Default RG's RedXR is goooone :(

No not dead, just gone.

At 7.20pm my XR8 drove out of the driveway with its new owner.

So after 4 years and a hell of a lot of money, fun, pain and love I am no longer an AU owner. The new owner (he is known to EVERYONE here) made the long trek down, gave me a cheque, had a chat and a coffee along with one of his mates who just happened to have to come down anyway and then was given the keys and drove away. I'll let him tell you who he is for this that don't know.

I'll miss that XR.

Time to find me a new bike and car now.

You will miss it mate, I still remember the time we drove it round up here with crouchie in the back half cut. I know what you mean right now as today I have pretty well sold the FG too - the worst part of that though is that I still have to look at it for a week before it gets picked up.

Regardless though all good things come to an end and at least you might keep a bit of hair now not having to worry about things letting go or breaking etc.

GK - do you reckon tomorrow I could have a drive of it!? Give me back my keys!!!!

Thanks RG - enjoyed the trip to GKs from yours (what's with all these 2 letter user names???). Going is fun, it handles great, changes gears smoothly and stopping will be sorted once I can pry my foot off the accelerator. It's back to Canberra tomorrow with it, and if you end up coming up that way, you are more than welcome to sit in the passenger sit and I'll drive you round the block, LOL!

Good pickup GK, I didnt think it would last long at that price. RG, sometimes you just have to remember that cars are only metal and rubber, and theyre still making them, but I can understand what you're going through. At least its gone to another enthusiast who respects what it is.

Only the awesomest of members have 2 letter usernames!

Last report from JC is that he is nearing Albury and loving it!

I'm actually really happy that she is in the hands of someone that will do the right thing by her and love her as I did.

Now, do I want an R33 Skyline?

And here I was beginning to believe JC was settling down with his cars these days!

I think in the 4 years i've been on these boards, this is JC's seventh or so new car!
